Monday September 10th 1984 was the day I started working for David Nicholson “The Duke” at Cotswold House Racing Stables, Condicote… my mum and dad got me down there for 6.30am and the horse I rode out first lot was Broadheath (moved to David Barons later in the season) and we did roadwork around a route known as the Swells Triangle.

The Swells Triangle
From Condicote, past Donnington Brewery, up the hill, turn back a sharpish right into a lane that takes you over and then along the side of the River Dikler (on your left) and through to the B4077, a left and along the road for a short way to Upper Swell and turn right, follow the lane through to Lower Swell, turn right at the triangular shaped village green, head for Guiting Power until you come to the turning for Condicote (another triangle) and turn right, follow the lane through to the B4077 crossroads, straight across and back into Condicote… about 7 miles.

Where it says Cheltenham on the map its nowhere near Cheltenham, its the second triangle (the turning for Condicote) and its google maps which added the label.
